In cooperation with the Consulate General of Guatemala in Oklahoma City and Asociación de Guatemaltecos Unidos de Oklahoma, FAM presents a cultural exchange of culturally significant ballgames among Southeastern tribal nations and Mesoamerica. This free, public event includes demonstrations of Mayan Ballgame by players from Guatemala and Southeastern social game from players in Oklahoma. Visitors will learn about the cultural significance of games among Indigenous communities in the Americas and appreciate the ways in which sports bring communities together. Spanish translation will be provided.
