Youth Education Apprenticeship (YEAH!)

Formerly known as Teen Guides, the YEAH! teen program provides employment and mentoring opportunities to students ages 15–18. For nine weeks during the summer, teens are hired to support FAMcamp instructors and students by supervising activities, lunches and recess, and by assisting instructors with preparing classrooms and facilitating activities. Apprentices also welcome guests to the new FAMily Discovery Center.

YEAH! program staff receive $10/hr for up to 28 hours a week of service. Additional college and career readiness training will be provided through the summer. Teens must be available May 27–Aug. 4, 2026 (no camps or shifts the week of June 29).

Drop by FAM for an Open House on Saturday, Feb. 28 from 1–4 pm in the museum’s Five Moons Theater. You can learn about the program, see presentations on applying, interviewing, and more, and get assistance with your application. In addition to some freebies, lucky attendees will leave BIG raffle prizes (including one 65″ TV!). Parents and caregivers are encouraged to attend. Click here to RSVP to the event.

Applications for the Youth Education Apprenticeship program will be open on this page from Feb. 28–March 23, 2026. Late or incomplete YEAH! applications will not be considered. All applicants will be invited to interview on March 28 or 29.
