PUBLIC PROGRAMS MANAGER | Apply by March 15, 2024

First Americans Museum (FAM) is seeking a full-time Public Programs Manager to project manage the museum’s annual events, program series and collaborations with community. This individual will work in an environment that centers First American perspectives and values in every aspect of the department’s work. Included among the manager’s portfolio are the museum’s large annual events, such as Solstice Celebrations and Indigenous Peoples Day, and FAMcamp programs. Occasional evenings and weekend work schedule, when needed.  Flex time will be provided for hours worked outside the Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM regular schedule.

First Americans Museum seeks two part-time, seasonal employees to support the summer FAMcamp program for youth ages 6–12. This position is responsible for the daily operations of camp, including facilitating check in and check out, supervising lunch and recess, and communicating updates to families. Required hours during camp sessions are 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. or noon to 5:30 p.m. Camps run Monday through Friday beginning June 3 through August 2. There are no camps the week of July 1.

FAM STORE ASSOCIATE | Apply by March 10, 2024

The part-time Store Associate provides a superlative customer experience for all First Americans Museum visitors, members, and customers. Store Associates perform a variety of functions, including ringing up sales, maintaining the store, and assist with inventory replenishment. As the “face” of FAM to our visitors, the Store Associate helps ensure a welcoming and positive experience for the museum’s diverse visitors. This role includes weekdays, weekends, and occasional evening shifts.
