VETERANS @ FAM

November 1 & 2
11 am – 4 pm

Who can be included in Veterans @ FAM?

First American veterans and active military who are enrolled citizens of the tribes in Oklahoma are invited to participate in Veterans @ FAM, a searchable database at First Americans Museum honoring those who have served. Families of veterans may participate on behalf of their loved ones. Participants will have their digitized materials added to the searchable veteran database in OKLA HOMMA exhibition. Veterans @ FAM opens annually for two days only on the first Friday/Saturday in November.

To create a record, Veterans and their families participate by:

  • Bring up to four (4) photos of the Veteran – at least one (1) required.
  • Bring up to four (4) records or documents to be scanned (i.e. letters from the warfront, commendation certificates, etc.)
  • Sign permission for FAM to use the records (forms will be available on the day of the event).
  • Participants will receive digitized files of all scans on the day of the event.
  • Optional onsite portrait photography for participating veterans or active service military (in uniform or cultural regalia encouraged, but not required) – digital portraits will be provided on the day of the event.

We celebrate Veterans every day at FAM.
Thank you for your service!
