"Making History" Project

Enrolled citizens of tribes in Oklahoma who are veterans or service members (and/or their families) may bring documentation of military service, awards, and photographs to be professionally scanned by archivists. Those who consent will have their digitized materials added to the museum’s archive and presented in-gallery through a visitor interactive. A limited number of free portrait photograph sessions are available to veterans and servicemembers, if present. Make an appointment to ensure your spot.

The public is welcome to witness this event via livestream in the Xchange Theater.

Want to participate?

  • Open to veterans/servicemembers who are enrolled in a tribe in Oklahoma or their families
  • Appointments are preferred, limited walk-ins available between 11-5 PM
