Indigenous Peoples Day

FREE | Campus-wide Event
Celebrate the resiliency and vibrancy of global Indigenous people at First Americans Museum! This FREE event includes cultural performances, educational demonstrations, stickball games and food trucks.
Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt (Osage Nation) will take the Courtyard stage at 1 p.m. to read a Mayoral Proclamation making the day official. All tribal leaders and royalty are invited to the stage to share remarks following the proclamation.
Exhibition admission (optional) is discounted at $5 per person for ages four and up. FAM members, tribal leaders and royalty will enjoy free admission.
BEFORE YOU GO
• Offsite parking/shuttles are available for $10 at Crooked Oak Athletic Field, located at 2201 SE 22nd St. (SE 22nd and Eastern).
• Photography is encouraged
• Outside food/drink, pets, drones or weapons are prohibited. Service animals required due to disability are always welcome
• Coolers and canopies are not permitted
• Smoking or vaping is not allowed on the FAM campus
FOOD & DRINK
Bring money for local food trucks! Hawaiian Snow, Hawaiian Style BBQ, La Gordita Sobrosa, Monkey Food Truck, Norwood Indian Tacos, Redbone Indian Tacos, Soul City Tacos, Squeeze Me Lemonade, and Vanessa’s Food Truck will provide nourishment in Festival Plaza.
