POWWOW DAY author Traci Sorell (Cherokee Nation) and illustrator Maddie Goodnight (Chickasaw) will be on-site for a family friendly book reading, book signings and provide arts demonstrations. Traci’s books, POWWOW DAY, We Are Still Here, and We Are Grateful, are available for purchase in FAMstore. Families may also bring previously purchased books for Traci to sign. The FAMstore distributor for these titles is Red Planet Books & Comics, the world’s first Native-owned comic and bookstore.
Pickup Stickball Game

Open to players of all ages, this coed game is your chance to play our traditional game beloved by tribes across Oklahoma. No experience needed—simply show up with sturdy shoes and sticks (if you have them). Cultural Ambassadors Ace Greenwood (Chickasaw/Cherokee) and Tresa Gouge (Muscogee/Seminole) will provide an overview of the game and its rules for first-timers and will lend sticks to those without. This is a social game for all ages.
