First Thunder Fest

Celebrate the arrival of spring at FAM! This free, family friendly event will explore First American knowledge in environmental sciences through stories and song, hands-on activities, and more. Join FAM and our community collaborators to gain a new appreciation for Oklahoma’s unpredictable spring weather.
First Thunder Fest includes the public opening of the FAM mound. This two-thirds mile round-trip outdoor experience connects visitors to ancestral Moundbuilder traditions, while offering a stunning view of downtown Oklahoma City and the Oklahoma River.
Things to Do

- Walk-in tours at 1 and 3 p.m. (admission required)
- Grand opening of the Mound walk with stationed guides
- Hands-on arts and science activities in second floor studios
