Talk: Storytelling with our Community

FAM Theater

Oct 27 2021

7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
First Americans Museum Media Team created thirty media projects for the OKLA HOMMA and WINIKO: Life of an Object galleries. These media projects, conceptualized by the museum’s curatorial department, are a combination of films, soundscapes and interactives, and involved four production teams. Key to the development of these media projects were interviewing the storytellers from our community. The FAM Media Team interviewed over 70 people, including Chiefs, leaders, elders, Knowledge Givers, scholars, and community members. We have brought together some of these storytellers to talk about the importance of keeping these stories alive.

Arrive early for an informal reception with cash bar at 6:00 PM in the FAM Theater Lobby.
