Ribbon Skirt Making

Join instructor Kate Sultuska (Absentee Shawnee) for an introduction to ribbon skirt making. Students will leave with a skirt in progress to complete at home.

Materials for Students to Bring
  • Recently serviced sewing machine (you may wish to bring it in a rolling suitcase)
  • Extension cord
  • Iron and table-top ironing board or towel
  • Basic sewing supplies (needles, pins, matching thread, bobbins, fabric scissors, seam ripper, etc.)
  • Soft sewing tape for your measurements
  • Elastic band (recommend at least two yards of one-inch or wider)
  • Two safety pins
  • Two yards of pre-washed cotton fabric
  • At least two yards for each color of ribbons
  • HeatnBond Hem Iron-on advesive

COVID-19 Guidelines
  • Wear a CDC-approved mask regardless of vaccination status (face shields without masks or masks with vents are not permitted)
  • Social distancing will be enforced
  • If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend the workshop

Refund and Cancellation Policy
Workshop tuition is non-refundable nor transferable to another workshop. If you cannot attend, we can convert your unused tuition to a tax-deductible gift to FAM. You may also designate someone else (a family member, a friend, etc.) to attend the workshop in your place. In the case of inclement weather, power outages, instructor illness or other issues, FAM may need to cancel a workshop. Every effort will be made to notify students as quickly as possible via email. In the case of cancellation, students will receive a complete refund credited on their original form of payment.
